EMDR Intensives

Focused therapeutic experiences designed to create momentum, continuity, and space for healing.

Weekly therapy is meaningful and effective for many individuals. Sometimes, however, a different rhythm of therapy may offer the continuity and space needed for deeper work.

You may have limited availability, be travelling to access care, feel stuck in your healing journey, or simply prefer a more immersive therapeutic experience. EMDR Intensives offer an alternative to traditional weekly, or bi-weekly, therapy through concentrated blocks of therapeutic time tailored to your goals and needs.

EMDR Intensives provide concentrated therapy sessions that create space for focused preparation, processing, and integration within a shorter timeframe.

Rather than meeting for one hour each week—or every other week—intensives offer the opportunity to engage in deeper therapeutic work while maintaining the continuity and momentum that can be difficult to achieve in shorter appointments. Weekly therapy remains a meaningful and effective approach for many individuals. At times, however, it can feel as though just as you begin to settle into the work, it's time to pause until the next session.

Many individuals who choose extended sessions or EMDR Intensives describe appreciating the opportunity to slow down enough to fully arrive, tend to the experiences and stressors that naturally arise between appointments, and still have space to engage in meaningful therapeutic work. Rather than repeatedly stopping and restarting the process, concentrated therapeutic time can support a greater sense of continuity and allow healing to unfold more fully.

As the nervous system becomes more familiar with the rhythm of the work, many individuals find they are able to move beyond simply coping and engage more deeply in reflection, processing, and integration.

Rather than being simply "more therapy," intensives offer a different therapeutic format—one that may create opportunities for greater depth and sustained therapeutic momentum when it aligns with your goals, needs, and circumstances.
